Overview

Are you an experienced manufacturing leader looking to make an impact? Join our team in Fort Smith as a Production Manager on 2nd shift, where you'll be responsible for coordinating and supporting all plant production activities during your shift. You'll work closely with Production Supervisors and Team Leaders to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards while ensuring we meet customer commitments. As the lead operations representative onsite during 2nd shift, you'll help drive effective execution, team development, and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support all production operations during 2nd shift across the facility
  • Ensure performance targets are met for safety, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Develop and adjust shift plans to align people, equipment, and materials with production needs
  • Provide direction to Production Supervisors and Team Leaders, ensuring clear priorities and expectations
  • Promote lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support plant-wide goals
  • Ensure safety protocols and company policies are consistently followed
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and implement timely solutions
  • Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and employee engagement

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership roles
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage shift operations in a complex production setting
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, planning, and performance management
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate across departments and resolve operational issues in real time
  • Familiarity with safety standards and quality assurance processes

Education

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
