Summary

We're seeking a mission-driven Product Lead to own the end-to-end experience for individual healthcare providers—including geneticists, general pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, and more—who may order GeneDx tests. This person will lead solutions that help providers onboard, place orders, interpret results, and serve their patients confidently, while working seamlessly within existing workflows. You'll translate strategy into scalable programs and initiatives that deliver clarity, ease, and clinical value.

You will be responsible for ensuring provider/practice user experiences and communications are clear, accessible, intuitive, and frictionless, while meeting critical operational, clinical, and regulatory requirements. Whether interactions take place through a website, portal, email, secure inbox, physical/in-person interface, or another medium, experiences must deliver both function and clarity for a wide variety of patient care scenarios.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the product strategy, roadmap, and multi-quarter programs for individual provider ordering experiences.
  • Translate strategy into actionable features and services that streamline onboarding, ordering, and results access.
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution across Clinical Product, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Client Services, and Engineering.
  • Deeply understand clinician needs through research, interviews, and observation— becoming a subject matter expert on their day-to-day workflows.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners to scope and deliver solutions via scrum teams. Deliverables may include: market requirements document (MRD), journey maps, product strategy decks, MVP plans, business cases, success measurement plans, etc.
  • Define and monitor KPIs such as:
    • Order conversion rate by specialty
    • Time-to-first-order

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills paired with excellent execution and attention to detail.
  • Deep empathy for end users—providers, enterprise customers, patients, and caregivers— and a commitment to making their experience simpler, faster, and more empowering.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, digital transformation, human-centered design, and modern product discovery/delivery practices.
  • A sense of ownership, humility, and mission-driven motivation to improve lives through better healthcare.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS) or clinical training is a plus

SEQUENCING HAS THE POWER TO SOLVE DIAGNOSTIC CHALLENGES.

From sequencing to reporting and beyond, our technical and clinical experts are providing guidance every step of the way:

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • High-quality testing: Our laboratory is CLIA certified and CAP accredited and most of our tests are also New York State approved.
  • Advanced detection: By interrogating genes for complex variants, we can identify the underlying causes of conditions that may otherwise be missed.

CLINICAL EXPERTISE

  • Thorough analysis: We classify variants according to our custom adaptation of the most recent guidelines. We then leverage our rich internal database for additional interpretation evidence.
  • Customized care: Our experts review all test results and write reports in a clear, concise, and personalized way. We also include information for research studies in specific clinical situations.
  • Impactful discovery: Our researchers continue working to find answers even after testing is complete. Through both internal research efforts and global collaborations, we have identified and published hundreds of new disease-gene relationships and developed novel tools for genomic data analysis. These efforts ultimately deliver more diagnostic findings to individuals.
