Clinical Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer (AT) is the liaison between the patient, the physical therapist, and support staff. Job includes assisting the patient from the time of arrival to their time of departure, ensuring patients are completing the plan of care set forth by the physical therapist and providing optimal patient care.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE Approved program) and completion of the BOC certification
• Maintain the BOC-required 50 CEU’s per certification period (every two years)
• Licensed by the State of Pennsylvania as an Athletic Trainer
• Current BLS certification
• Maintain Personal Liability Insurance
• Exceptional patient service skills and adaptability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Ability to effectively interact with all age groups
• Flexibility and adaptability necessary to adjust to fluid situations is a must
  
  

What You’ll Do

• Liaison between patient and physical therapist
• Responsible for assisting physical therapists in patient’s plan of care
• Responsible for patient setup, education on exercises and application of electrical modality unit (when appropriate)
• Works as a team member and individually with minimal supervision
• Maintains a positive, professional demeanor always
• Maintains a safe and orderly work environment
• Other duties as assigned
