Purpose

As an Interior Program Management Intern, you will play a key supporting role in the execution of complex, high-end VIP aircraft interior completion projects. This internship is designed to provide you with an immersive, hands-on experience in program management within a dynamic aerospace environment governed by FAA Part 145 regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams — engineering, design, procurement, quality, and production—to help ensure that each phase of the interior completion process is meticulously planned, executed, and delivered to exceed customer expectations.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to understand the full lifecycle of a VIP interior completion, from initial concept through final aircraft delivery. You will gain firsthand insight into how luxury aesthetics, aviation-grade engineering, and regulatory compliance come together in a fast-paced, customer-driven setting. Your contributions will directly support on-time, on - budget, and high-quality outcomes for some of the world’s most discerning clients, including private individuals, heads of state, and corporate executives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with key milestones across design, engineering, procurement, production, and certification.
  • Track and communicate project status updates, identifying potential delays or resource conflicts to support on-time delivery.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to capture action items, distribute minutes, and monitor follow-through.
  • Collaborate with procurement to support tracking of long-lead interior materials, components, and vendor-supplied items.
  • Review interior design drawings and specifications for project alignment and update documentation accordingly.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance and inspection teams to help manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Support change management processes by logging change requests, tracking approvals, and updating project documentation.
  • Assist in compiling documentation packages for customer design reviews, configuration freezes, and regulatory submittals.
  • Monitor production floor activities and interface with shop leads to confirm progress against the interior installation plan.
  • Prepare visual project updates (e.g., dashboards, status boards, or presentation decks) for internal leadership and customer presentations.
  • Organize digital and physical project folders to ensure traceability and audit readiness in compliance with FAA Part 145 standards.
  • Participate in customer walk-throughs, inspections, and delivery readiness meetings to gain exposure to VIP customer service expectations.
  • Research industry trends, vendor capabilities, and design innovation to support continuous improvement efforts within the Interior Program Management team.

Minimum Qualifications Or Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Project Management, Aviation Management, Industrial Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Effective communicator with a professional demeanor and team-player attitude.
  • Interest or experience in aviation, aerospace interiors, or luxury product development is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications or Experience:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with MS Project or similar software a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, And Other Attributes

  • Project Coordination Knowledge: Understanding of basic project management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., WBS, Gantt charts, milestone tracking, risk assessment).
  • Aviation/Aerospace Awareness: Interest in or basic understanding of aircraft interior completions, FAA Part 145 regulations, and luxury aviation standards is a plus.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making with facts and logic.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable reading technical drawings, specifications, or engineering documentation, or eager to learn.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly summarize and present information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision-focused mindset with the ability to track multiple moving parts without overlooking key details.
  • Team Collaboration: Willingness to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute in a supportive role to shared goals.
  • Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage tasks efficiently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Open to change, proactive in learning, and able to thrive in a dynamic, evolving workplace.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience or exposure to project tracking tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar is preferred.
  • Professionalism: Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude—especially when interacting with senior leaders, VIP clients, or regulatory partners.
