Duties And Responsibilities
- Shipping and receiving of materials and products utilizing outlined processes.
- Assist with inventory, receiving, shipping, and miscellaneous projects as assigned.
- Maintain procedures, work instructions and policies as required by area of responsibility as assigned.
- Mentor Program Participants on work tasks and provide feedback as necessary.
- Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support all stakeholders of Orion team fully to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals and objectives.
- Participate in team and company meetings as required.
- Role model proper work ethics and behaviors.
- Role model proper hygiene and appropriate work attire.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Shipping and receiving experience utilizing various packing, picking, and shipping processes
- Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
- Demonstrated basic math skills
- Possess or acquire tools needed to accomplish work objective
- Organizational ability
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collectively
- Customer service skills; able to relate well to all internal and external customers

- Frequent use of computer.
- Consistent use of hands and fingers to reach, manipulate, handle, and hold material.
- Consistent use of vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and spatial relationship.
- Frequent use of hearing ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Frequent use of speaking ability to express or exchange ideas, communicate detailed information, or convey instructions.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and pulling of 15 pounds. Maximum lift, carry or pull of 50 pounds. Objects that are heavier than 40 pounds require a team lift. Seek assistance if an object is heavy or awkward to lift, push or pull independently.
- Consistent exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses.
- Consistent exposure to excess noise levels, occasionally necessitating the use of Hearing Protection.
