Intern

The Intern is a seasonal learning opportunity geared towards students seeking required program experience in a related field. Do you want to supplement your education with actual hands-on experience in a real hospital where you will face new challenges every day? This position is for current bachelors or masters students that require an internship for current degree program.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.

Experience Requirements

Willing to commit to the intern position for a designated time frame, with the possibility of a longer internship available.

Willing to learn and get hands-on experience.

Able to commit to daily/weekly minimum hours and to be physically present at the facility.

Additional Duties

Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.

Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)

Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.

Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.

Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
