Summary
The Product Manager is responsible to ensure profitable growth of the assigned product category through origination and execution of customer-focused marketing plans, product launch programs, pricing strategies, identification of market trends and competitive intelligence as well as tactical promotional programs, which are aligned to the organizational strategy. Financial growth expectations will be achieved through thorough product positioning, pricing, promotional and distribution strategy development and execution as well as a clear product leadership role with the Sales and Supply Chain teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop annual Marketing plan and Marketing mix for the assigned product category and align with the organization
- Drives promotional programs for product category, ensures comprehensive portfolio planning (based on market insights, competitive landscape, developing and implementing new product introductions), sets pricing strategy to instantly improve profitability, acts as a go-to person when it comes to product knowledge and expertise (internally and externally), provides solid business analysis to steer the portfolio, ensure budget management (A&P), and in-depth customer interaction (gain customer insights through field rides and meeting with customers).
- Achieves satisfactory profit/ loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
- Acquires a superior knowledge of the technical features and benefits of assigned portfolio and acts as knowledge resource for the whole organization and customers as required.
- Performs analysis on product sales & profitability and contributes to the development of the annual sales and A&P budget. Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
- Determines the optimal product portfolio to meet the customer needs and maximize revenue and profit opportunities for the portfolio. Suggests improvements or modifications to existing line, based on market insights provided by key customers and sales force.
- Partners with Sales and Marketing Communications to plan, support and oversee product communication and promotion activities.
- Analyzes and defines market and product growth potential within the assigned segments. Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
- Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
- Provides leadership and support other functions via product team management system (Sales, Training, Customer Service, National Accounts, Supply Chain Management, Finance, etc.) specific to the completion of programs and activities critical to achieving the set business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, life science, medical device / healthcare area or other related field or equivalent working experience. Master’s Degree / MBA preferred.
- 3 years of experience in Medical Device product marketing.
- Analytical background with strong data analysis experience.
- High level of curiosity and desire for new learning, with ability to work within multiple cross-functional teams.
- Engaging presenter with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated track record of marketing discipline, process and product commercialization expertise.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Requires travel up to 20% of the time and mobility to participate trade shows and external meetings.
