Steven Kia in Harrisonburg is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and downright awesome Shop Foreman to lead our crew of talented technicians! Forget dusty old garages - we're building a BRAND NEW, state-of-the-art service facility (Targeting March 2026 opening!) and need a leader with the horsepower to help us launch it and keep our service bays humming with efficiency and positive vibes.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

As our Shop Foreman, you'll be the head coach, chief mentor, and workflow wizard of our service department. You won't be stuck behind a desk; you'll be hands-on, guiding the team, and ensuring everything runs smoother than a perfectly tuned engine.

  • Lead the Pit Crew: Supervise, motivate, and inspire our awesome team of Kia technicians daily.
  • Be the Knowledge Guru: Share your technical expertise freely, help develop the skills of all techs, and ensure our apprentice/mentorship programs are firing on all cylinders.
  • Champion Teamwork: Foster a collaborative spirit where everyone works together efficiently to conquer the day's challenges. Like the Avengers, but with wrenches.
  • Inject the Fun: Actively contribute to and maintain a positive, energetic, and FUN working environment. High fives encouraged!
  • Mastermind the Workflow: Work side-by-side with the Service Manager to keep repair orders flowing smoothly, anticipate needs, and eliminate pesky bottlenecks before they start.
  • Keep the Tools Top-Notch: Ensure all shop equipment and crucial Special Service Tools (SSTs) are maintained, organized, and ready for action.
  • Be the Info Hub: Make sure important technical updates and information are shared effectively across the technician team. No tech left behind!
  • Turbocharge Reconditioning: Keep our Used Vehicle reconditioning process lean and mean, minimizing turnaround times to get those quality pre-owned vehicles ready for their close-up!


What You Bring to the Garage:

  • Proven experience as a high-performing Automotive Technician (Kia experience is a major plus!).
  • Born leader potential - you must guide, motivate, and earn the respect of a skilled team.
  • A genuine passion for mentoring and helping others grow their careers.
  • ASE Master Technician status or equivalent diagnostic superpowers strongly preferred.
  • Ninja-level organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Virginia State Inspection License
  • Proficient with current technology such as diagnostic equipment and computers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively - with our Guests, techs, advisors, and managers.
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude is non-negotiable!
  • Valid Driver's License and a driving record as clean as a freshly detailed Telluride.
  • High-level of Integrity (being honest and strong moral principals), Ambition (Desire to succeed), and Versatile (Ability to adapt)

  • Communication: Nothing beats face to face interaction, we also provide Walkie-Talkie (Radios), Chat tools, QR codes posted for providing feedback, in addition to weekly/monthly meetings to keep everyone on the same page
  • Competitive Pay & Benefits: We invest in our team's success and well-being (details discussed during interview). Bonus paid in Mid December for Longevity based on production. Bonus for every Warranty hour produced every pay period.
