Purpose: As a Financial Analyst, Associate, you will conduct or assist in the documentation of simple to moderate financial analyst projects, playing a crucial role in our financial operations. This role is within the UPMC in Central PA Physician Enterprise team. The PE team supports 300+ primary care and specialty practices across Central PA. The role will include preparing service line reporting, preparing forecasts and projections to support leadership’s decision making, and building/reviewing the annual budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in various financial systems.
  • Review costs and conduct cost-benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Assist in the analysis of financial data, extracting and defining relevant information to interpret past financial performance and project future financial probabilities.
  • Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business field required.
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of related work experience.
  • Microsoft Office spreadsheet application and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.

  • Act 34
