Purpose: As a Financial Analyst, Associate, you will conduct or assist in the documentation of simple to moderate financial analyst projects, playing a crucial role in our financial operations. This role is within the UPMC in Central PA Physician Enterprise team. The PE team supports 300+ primary care and specialty practices across Central PA. The role will include preparing service line reporting, preparing forecasts and projections to support leadership’s decision making, and building/reviewing the annual budget.
Responsibilities:
Purpose: As a Financial Analyst, Associate, you will conduct or assist in the documentation of simple to moderate financial analyst projects, playing a crucial role in our financial operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in various financial systems.
- Review costs and conduct cost-benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Assist in the analysis of financial data, extracting and defining relevant information to interpret past financial performance and project future financial probabilities.
- Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
- Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business field required.
- OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of related work experience.
- Microsoft Office spreadsheet application and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
