- Oversee kitchen staff to ensure adherence to standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation, while utilizing production and waste logs and tasting meals for quality control.
- Conduct daily meetings with production team members.
- Trained kitchen staff in food preparation, equipment use, and food safety practices in compliance with PCSC and Department of Health regulations.
- Conduct daily meal rounds and conduct at least one test tray a week for all three meals.
- Maintain resident diet changes in menu system, print tickets/menus, as needed.
- Plan and prepare menus for special events as requested.
- Assist the Director of Culinary Services in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.
- Follow facility and department safety policies and procedures to include occurrence reporting.
- Participate and attend departmental meetings, staff development and professional programs, as appropriate.
- Education: Associate degree and Serve Safe Certified.
- Experience: Three years’ experience in Foodservice Management.
- Skill: Intermediate computer skills
