Description

Meeder is seeking a highly motivated investment professional with a strong work ethic to work with our firm’s Private Wealth team. Our Private Wealth team serves financial advisors around the country, serving as the portfolio manager for their high-net-worth clients. The candidate will work closely with portfolio managers on all aspects of investment strategy, portfolio construction, and wealth management responsibilities, gaining valuable experience about the firm’s holistic approach with clients. We envision this role as having rapidly growing direct client responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the monitoring and portfolio management of $2B in assets
  • Quantitatively trade accounts based on client specific parameters
  • Assist in the analysis and trade recommendations of asset allocation and risk management strategies including investment selection, monitoring and termination
  • Conduct independent capital markets research and communication for internal/external use
  • Assist in the development of internal and external investment research and presentations
  • Monitor the performance and risk of current portfolios and investment funds
  • Perform investment due diligence and analysis on mutual funds, ETFs, and investment products; recommend addition/termination of asset managers based on investment knowledge
  • Analyze and create investment proposals for high-net-worth portfolios; monitor portfolios based on investment policy statements including tax budgets and risk management
  • Assist portfolio managers in research on capital markets and asset allocation

Position Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in business, accounting, or finance preferred.
  • 0-3 years professional work experience required.
  • Active progress or interest in pursuing CFA charter preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and advanced spreadsheet functions
  • Preference for beginner knowledge of financial markets, Bloomberg, and Morningstar
