SCO is seeking an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECHMH) professional to work with the Wonder with Me program, an initiative that spans multiple departments. The IMH clinician will work closely with the IMH Program Manager to deliver essential IECHMH programming and training to staff and families. This role requires effective communication of IMH principles to diverse audiences, collaboration with stakeholders, and the ability to foster enthusiasm for IMH. The ideal candidate will be a creative and flexible thinker who is trauma-informed and works from an anti-racist perspective.

SCO is seeking an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECHMH) professional to work with the Wonder with Me program, an initiative that spans multiple departments. The IMH clinician will work closely with the IMH Program Manager to deliver essential IECHMH programming and training to staff and families. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services:
- Assist with facilitating trainings related to Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health for both staff and community members.
- Assist with facilitating dyadic groups that engage young children and their caregivers.
- Provide ongoing reflective consultation to assigned programs across the agency.
- Model best practices in working with young children and their families.
- Provide reflective supervision to assigned student interns.
- Maintain a small caseload of therapeutic support for young children.
- Provide training and reflective consultation to early childhood education staff to build capacity in understanding and responding to IECHMH needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency, funding, and regulatory requirements.
- Consult on child-specific cases as needed.
- Assist with organizing events to introduce Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health to staff and communities.
- Collaborate with various SCO departments to enhance the impact of the Wonder with Me program
- Other duties as assigned
- Supervise and mentor student interns, providing weekly supervision and clinical guidance in accordance with university and agency guidelines.
- Support intern development through case consultations, feedback, and modeling best practices when working with children and their families.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State required.
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in clinical work with young children and families; experience with foster care or early childhood education preferred.
- Knowledge and experience integrating intercultural communication skills and lens preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infant and early childhood development, trauma, and attachment theory.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- This is a full-time position with benefits.
- Annual Salary: $73,500
- Some evening hours may be required based on program needs.
