The Repair Technician provides service and repair of mechanical, electronic and hydraulic equipment in accordance with the current technical data. It requires technical knowledge, expertise, effective diagnostic, repair and testing techniques related to a wide variety of equipment. Summary of Duties: Performs skilled technician work that involves diagnosis, replacement, cleaning, repair and rebuilding a variety of equipment, components and/or systems. Uses diagnostic and test equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade. Applies principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory. Interprets and follows technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices. Makes computer entries and completes various types of paperwork maintenance documents in accordance with FAA Regulations and company policies. Follows industry/government specific guidelines, particularly as they relate to safety, health and environmental practices. Assists with research and development of new repair capabilities; this will include reading and understanding new manuals and may include on and off site training. Assists with the maintenance of shop equipment and supplies. Maintains on organized workstation and shopfloor in accordance with 5S standards in place.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Additional Duties/Responsibilities: Sets the example, guides, and assists colleagues in order to successfully perform repair operations Performs work under limited supervision. Promotes cooperation and positive communication among the team and can resolve issues before escalating to supervisor. Prepares and organizes employees work schedules based on given priorities Providing feedback to Supervisor or Manager regarding employee performance Leads level 1 QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): records KPI, stops at first defect, characterizes and contains the problems. Report out performance and escalate problems to next tier management Maintains an adequate supply of tools and hardware supplies. Audits work area and enforces safety regulations in order to comply with OSHA and company requirements Audits work area and enforces 5S standards Supports internal audits, AS9100, and FAA audits. Additional Skills: Experience working in a repair station Basic problem solving / QRQC knowledge and experience Preferred Skills (not required): 14 CFR Part 65 repairman certification Description: Senior-level position with job field.
