MITER Brands is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Multifamily to join our sales team. In this role you will be responsible for driving growth within the multifamily construction sector by identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue generation. This role requires a dynamic professional with a strong background in sales, and multifamily developments, capable of executing strategic initiatives to expand the company’s market presence.

- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities within the multifamily sector
- Generate leads through networking, industry events, cold calling, and digital outreach
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and projects
- Track lead / opportunity success ratio to inform and improve future lead development strategies
- Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with architects, general contractors, property owners, developers, investors, and decision-makers in the multifamily industry
- Serve as a key contact for clients, addressing their needs, challenges, and business goals
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to meet client objectives
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement sales strategies to target high-value multifamily projects
- Present the company’s offerings to prospective clients, emphasizing the value proposition and differentiators
- Work with regional sales teams and their dealers to secure targeted projects
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in alignment with company goals and pricing structure
- Develop & Execute multifamily architect engagement plans directly and through architect representatives
- Proposal Development
- Work closely with local sales teams in the creation of proposals, presentations, and bids for multifamily projects
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product dev. and engineering) to ensure accurate and competitive proposal development
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor sales performance against established targets and KPIs
- Provide regular updates to management on pipeline progress, opportunities, and challenges
- Track industry trends and competitive landscape to adapt strategies and stay ahead of market demands
- Collaboration & Execution
- Ensure client expectations are aligned with company capabilities through job selection, partner selection, or other collaborative measures
- Partner with internal teams (marketing, product dev., engineering and, regional sales leaders) to ensure smooth execution of business development efforts
- Coordinate with teams such as supply chain & operations to ensure client expectations are met during the implementation phase
- Networking & Industry Involvement
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events with regional sales tEam members to promote the company and build industry connections
- Stay updated on market conditions, competitor activity, and regulatory changes impacting the multifamily real estate sector
- Identify industry influencers in target markets and develop strategies focused on these targets
