Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers (GoodwillSR) – Columbus, GA

The Sr Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for leading all technical practices within the business analytics team. This person will be proficient in SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Reporting Services, and be able to train and support a team of two BI Developers.

The Business Analytics team is currently seeking an individual who is excited to use business intelligence tools to work to solve business issues and offer informed conclusion focused towards the betterment of the organization and the Mission we serve.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Business Intelligence Developer III responsibilities:

  • Install and configure databases and related software on a server.
  • Create SSIS packages to clean data into a user-friendly format and integrate data from multiple systems.
  • Set-up and monitor jobs on the server to automatically refresh data.
  • Work with the following tools: SQL Server Reporting, Integration, and Analysis Services, as well as Visual Studio.
  • Develop relationships with various departments to best understand their operations, objectives and functions to ensure accurate requirement gathering for requests such as forms, data alerts, data collection, workflows, reporting, process automation, etc.
  • Build and maintain dashboards using industry standard tools.
  • Validate and study data to find insights into our business and humanitarian operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to present new SharePoint-related projects to the Business Analytics department.
  • Partner closely with the Mission Services Department leadership to define business requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and management of a case management software.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and growth opportunities to department members.
  • Plan, assign, direct, and assist two BI Developers and manages their day-to-day performance.
  • Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions when department openings arise.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Director of Business Analytics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Five years’ experience in Business Analytics/Intelligence (or related field).
  • Knowledge of the following: SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power Query, HTML, DAX, MDX, Visual Studio, Power BI, SharePoint, Caseworthy, MS Office, Business Objects, Cognos, Python, SOAP/Rest API, Atlassian Products (JIRA Service Management, Bitbucket, Confluence).
