Position Summary:

Responsible for developing and standardizing, optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards across all Cryogenic sites. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Schedules and prioritizes work of reporting functions and resolves conflicts or implements countermeasures to achieve company goals. Develops effective equipment uptime strategy and executes plan to ensure acceptable uptime levels for critical equipment and machinery.

This position can be based out of the Brazil, IN or Conroe, TX manufacturing site.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Manages all activities of Manufacturing Engineering by providing oversight to all Cryo sites and working closely with Site Leaders.
  • Standardize & Implement process improvements across all Cryo sites.
  • Develop and execute plans to ensure acceptable uptime levels for critical equipment and machinery.
  • Conducts make vs buys & leading insourcing productivity projects.
  • Coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products.
  • Recommends and generates CERs. Writes acceptable financial justifications for equipment replacement and upgrades, as well as building/grounds repairs or improvements.
  • Executes project plan post approval to ensure ROI expectations are met per justification.
  • Assigns tasks/projects and follows up on the timely completion of those tasks/projects.


Lead and coach Manufacturing & Welding Engineers to perform the following duties:

  • Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Oversees approval, specification and application of paint materials and equipment.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
  • Designs, develops and tests and/or sources cost-justified various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Performs product process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Uses sound engineering principles and established procedural disciplines to execute projects from conception to completion.


Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • B.S.M.E. or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Management/Engineering in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up 75% mostly domestic.
  • Unimpeachable ethics.
  • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Planning: Demonstrated ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span in regard to site.
  • Management: Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, delegate and drive accountability to communicate goals and objectives.
  • Employee training.
  • Technical skills in manufacturing process and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail.
