What We Are Looking For

Bender Companies is looking for a responsible professional to join our team as a Groundskeeper for multiple of our Battle Creek properties. It is important for this position to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. A keen eye for detail and diligence is imperative.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16-$18 per hour

Schedule

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On Call
• Weekends as needed
  
  

Here Are Some Things That Will Make You Successful

• Proven experience as a groundskeeper, custodian, janitor, or in a similar role
• Basic knowledge of cleaning tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
  
  

What You Will Be Doing

As a Groundskeeper you will be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our properties exterior areas, including common buildings, parking lots, and amenities. The role supports daily upkeep, helps prepare vacant units, and assists with seasonal maintenance tasks.

Core Responsibilities Include

• Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of:
• Leasing offices
• Parking lots
• Community buildings
• Building exteriors
• Remove trash daily, with focus on exterior areas
• Assist in cleaning and preparing market-ready units
• Support seasonal duties, including:
• Snow removal (if applicable)
• Spreading salt on sidewalks and driveways
• Other tasks as assigned
  

Where You Will Work

This position will require you to work on-site at multiple of our properties in the Battle Creek area.
