Payroll Representative

The Grand Healthcare System is actively seeking a Payroll Representative in our Corporate Office in Valley Stream, NY.

Position type: Full-time hourly

Rate: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Duties:

• Accurately processing and auditing payrolls
• Effectively managing data from multiple sources to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner
• Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
• Calculating proper taxation of employer paid benefits
• Calculating wages and over-time with multi-state & multi-locations
• Processing correct garnishment calculations and compliance
• Contacting facilities to obtain payroll data, including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, and employee deductions or adjustments
• Responding to client questions regarding various aspects of how their payroll was processed, including questions regarding specific employees’ paychecks, or tax related issues
• Assisting in planning, and implementation of year end processes, to provide accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)
• Human resource support and employee file maintenance
• Establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with clients, agencies, and coworkers to promote a positive quality service image
• Other duties/projects as requested by payroll supervisor
