Job Summary
As a Support Coordinator, you will help people with disabilities to successfully work and earn a paycheck at our customer's and our production site. You will help our people with disabilities grow their skills and gain independence to the greatest extent possible. You will drive back and forth between Brooklyn Center and Minnetonka on a weekly basis utilizing your own vehicle. You will manage a team of four people with disabilities.

Job Summary
As a Support Coordinator, you will help people with disabilities to successfully work and earn a paycheck at our customer's and our production site. You will help our people with disabilities grow their skills and gain independence to the greatest extent possible. You will drive back and forth between Brooklyn Center and Minnetonka on a weekly basis utilizing your own vehicle. You will manage a team of four people with disabilities.
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM you will work on-site at Cypress in Brooklyn Center. Tuesday and Thursday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM you will work at our Minnetonka location.
- Wage: $19.00 per hour
As part of team, you will help our people with disabilities in the following areas:
- Provides role modeling and professional leadership to the workers on their line.
- Organizes daily workstations for persons served based on individual abilities and job availability.
- Ensures availability of materials for persons served to complete jobs in a timely manner.
- Inspects the quality of products produced by persons served and following all procedures stated in the production quality control manual.
- Records and documents production counts of products produced by persons served.
- Provides training and instruction to persons served on how to perform their work duties.
- Evaluates comprehension and identifies further training needs of persons served.
- Assists production management in modifying tasks and materials as needed to reduce risk of injury, improve quality, task efficiency or success.
- Works with department management to understand terms and conditions of customer contract and commitments.
- Proactively works with the customer to understand their needs.
- Oversees staffing needs of job site.
- Reviews worksite and identifies issues that may impact quality, safety and efficiency.
- Works with department managers and customer contacts to maintain access to all necessary tools and supplies for job commitments.
- Develops detailed instructions and methods to accomplish tasks for the site contract.
- Provides ongoing coaching and training to persons served employees.
- Interfaces with other Opportunity Partner representatives as needed.
Designated Coordinator Qualifications
- A designated coordinator may have a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- A designated coordinator may have an associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- A designated coordinator may have a diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 or older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services, education, or health and four years full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children and is under the supervision of staff person who meets the designated coordinator qualifications listed above.
