Job Summary:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial and accounting operations, with a specific emphasis on Divisional Performance. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The Controller will collaborate closely with divisional leadership to enhance financial strategies and ensure operational efficiency.

Location: This position will be at the Hagerman Fort Wayne location. This is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Responsible for monthly Work In Process (WIP) report, creating divisional entries and reviewing job projections. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing projects and operational needs, including Accounts Receivable collections and weekly check runs Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the project accounting team, fostering professional growth and development. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and Divisional leadership to ensure accurate project costing. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, particularly with individual projects.

Required Software Proficiency: Accounting Software: Proficient in Procore and CMiC. Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skills in Excel for financial modeling and reporting; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint for presentations and documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the construction industry preferred. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
