Job Summary

The User Acceptance Testing Analyst, with a focus on systems and business intelligence, will support a wide range of business initiatives including leading and determining project requirements, defining project specification, scopes, and objectives, production timetables, time-integrated plans for project introduction and testing support tickets. This position will work closely with many departments to test, monitor, collaborate, prioritize, and create support/IT tickets. This position performs the essential functions of the position, which includes but is not limited to duties as described below:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Respond to and coordinate IT tickets/Business Analyst;
  • Participate in testing both enhancement and support tickets;
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements effectively based on business value, risks and constraints;
  • Interaction with IT/Systems, Business Analyst, Regulatory Affairs, UW, Sales/Distribution, Accounting, and
  • Claims;
  • Provides strategic input and personal insurance subject matter expertise for system implementations of
  • project related changes (both routine and large scale projects);
  • Analyzes and recommends system process improvements to the various product processes associated with
  • the full policy life-cycle (acquisition, retention, service, etc.);
  • Data analysis of various source systems to data and business intelligence applications;
  • Elicit, analyze, specify and communicate business, system and implementation requirements. Ensure the
  • requirements are unambiguous and understandable by both business users and solution delivery
  • teams. Ensure that requirements are understood and approved by all stakeholders;
  • Manage requirement traceability and changes throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement;
  • Ensure the test strategy and test plans adequately cover the requirements;
  • Participate in business and system requirements sessions;
  • Manage and meet user expectations, be a bridge between IT/Business Analyst and business community;
  • Develop and maintain management and business partner data reports for distribution;
  • Learn new technologies relevant to personal insurance projects;
  • Maintaining communication with management on progress of ongoing tasks and/ or projects;
  • Anticipate and predict resources and project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines;
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term project forecasts and special
  • reports and analyses; answering questions and requests
  • Complies with state and federal laws, Department of Insurance criteria, insurance carrier and Aspire General
  • Insurance Services policies, procedures and work rules;
  • Prompt and regular attendance;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a systems analyst performing roles and responsibilities listed above preferred;
  • 1-2 years' experience as an insurance Underwriter, preferred.
  • Advanced/solid understanding of personal insurance business. This includes understanding of products,
  • coverage’s, claim, underwriting, distribution channels, and business/sale centers;
  • Experience in Personal Auto insurance, preferred;
  • Experience in business process and/or data analysis and data profiling;
  • Leadership, innovation and initiating skills;
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and data analysis skills;
  • Basic proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and SQL preferred, ability to use
  • internet and adapt to new software programs and changes in technology;
  • Ability to set priorities and perform multiple tasks;
  • Ability to solve practical problems; deal with concrete variables in situations; and to interpret a variety of
  • instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
  • Ability to manage increased levels of responsibility;
  • Ability to negotiate;
  • Ability to adapt to a paperless environment

  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with Staff, Clients and Insurance Partners;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff.

Working Conditions

  • Physical attendance / hybrid work schedule is required base on location (only required if within a certain distance of our physical office locations).
  • This position may require mandatory overtime as deemed appropriate by management;
  • The office is that of a highly technical company supporting a paperless environment;
  • Travel may be required;
  • Vision abilities to work at close range and with small print;
  • Physical efforts required include, but may not be limited to, verbally communicating detailed and important
