  • Monitor inventory for all office supplies regularly used in day-to-day business, initiating purchases as necessary to maintain adequate stock.
  • Receive and review purchase requests from others for all standard office and business supplies.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for aerospace raw materials based on standard stock levels or order issuing criteria, and where prices and vendors are pre-established.
  • Assist with daily quoting and bid specifications.
  • Review Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for purchased product, verify, and resolve demand.
  • Support of Orion’s mission and program participants.
  • Communicate with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders following up on orders to ensure materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is desired, aerospace preferred.
  • Experience with computers, data entry, and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with an ERP system or Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable negotiating and problem solving skills.
  • Customer service skills; ability to relate well to all customers internal as well as external customers.
  • Excellent in-person attendance.

Wage Range

The pay range for this role considers several factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, education, and other business needs.

  • Frequent use of speaking ability to express or exchange ideas, communicate detailed information, or convey instructions
  • Occasional lifting of 5 or 10 pounds
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses
  • Occasional exposure to excess noise levels, occasionally necessitating the use of Hearing Protection
