Cabinet Shop Floor Foreman

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cabinet Shop Floor Foreman to join our team at dakBUILT in Fargo, ND!

Position Overview: The Shop Floor Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily workflow objective of the cabinet shop floor with a specific oversight of the shipping department. This role ensures that all products are manufactured, packaged, and shipped efficiently and accurately, meeting quality standards and delivery deadlines. This position reports directly to the Shop Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Shop Floor Workflow: Oversee daily activities on the shop floor, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Shipping Coordination: Oversee the shipping department, ensuring all products are packaged securely and shipped or delivered on time.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet quality standards before shipping.
• Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise shop floor employees, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of shipping materials and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supplies.
• Process Improvement: Working with the Shop Production Manager to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Documentation: Maintain and create accurate records of production and shipping activities, including tracking shipments and managing paperwork.
• Job Site Deliveries: Occasionally deliver products to job sites, requiring the candidate to be insurable and have a clean driving record.
  
  

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a 3-5 years of experience in cabinet making or a related field, as well as proven leadership abilities. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and on budget. Must be willing and able to drive occasionally for deliveries. The role requires working in a manufacturing shop setting, involving physical demands such as lifting, standing, and using tools and machinery.
