UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Senior Practice Manager to join our Clinical Operations Group (COG). This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Minimum $83,283 - Midpoint $106,121*
Under limited supervision from the Director of Clinical Operations and in collaboration with the Clinical Operations Group (COG) leadership team and leadership teams at individual clinics, the Senior Practice Manager is responsible for role standardization, orientation, training, and interim coverage for clinics throughout COG. Identifies business strategies, policies, protocols, and systems that improve practice productivity, efficiency, customer service and revenue generation across multiple clinics in support of the COG’s strategic initiatives.
Minimum Job Requirements Of a Senior Practice Manager
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of progressive experience in clinic operations management in an ambulatory setting. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.

Minimum $83,283 - Midpoint $106,121*
- Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.
- Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Duties And Responsibilities Of a Senior Practice Manager
- Provides interim Practice Manager coverage (in alignment with the Practice Manager Job Description) at UNM Medical Group.
- Meets regularly with Practice Managers to review workflows and operational support needs.
- Develops and updates onboarding structure for Practice Managers annually; provides direct support/mentorship for Practice Managers during their onboarding period.
- Develops Standard Work expectations, in alignment with COG leadership, and supports Practice Managers in consistent adoption of Standard Work expectations.
- Participates in the development and implementation of operational initiatives in clinics, which will support the standardization of key functions and practices throughout the system.
- Works closely with clinical leadership (at all levels) to assess reporting needs; prepares and manages the preparation of a variety of recurring and specialized reports that evaluate and analyze activities across clinics to ensure ambulatory goals are being met.
- Provides regular feedback to Practice Managers and clinic staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Develops and maintains templates, policies and procedures for startup, outlying clinics.
- Serves as a point of contact and resource for outlying clinics by providing specialized advice, facilitating and training on processes and providing operational support as required.
- Uses established fact-finding procedures, knowledge of pertinent work processes and procedures and familiarity with related programming practices, system software and computer equipment to provide required analysis of business problems.
- May participate in employee recruitment and hiring of departmental staff in accordance with all UNM/UNMMG/UNMH human resources policies and procedures.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
