Position Overview
We're seeking a Financial Controller who can bring financial structure to our creative ecosystem while understanding and preserving the culturally-driven nature of our work. The ideal candidate will combine technical financial expertise with an intuitive understanding of creative industries. This role will report directly to the CEO and work closely with division leads across our organization.

This role will report directly to the CEO and work closely with division leads across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reporting systems across multiple business units and revenue streams
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and analyses for leadership decision-making
- Implement financial controls that maintain compliance while respecting our creative processes
- Partner with creative leaders to develop financial models for new initiatives, including fashion production, events, publishing, and merchandise
- Analyze unit economics and profitability across diverse business lines
- Support data-driven decision making by providing financial insights on business performance
- Help translate creative vision into sustainable financial frameworks
- Manage cash flow across multiple international operations (US, Korea, etc.)
- Develop pricing strategies for diverse product lines
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
- Optimize supply chain economics, particularly for our manufacturing relationships in Asia
- Build and manage a small financial team as the organization grows
- Develop financial literacy across the organization, helping creative teams understand business implications of their work
- Create financial processes that support rather than hinder creative operations
Required
- 3-5 years of financial management experience, preferably in creative industries (fashion, media, events)
- Strong technical accounting skills and financial analysis capabilities
- Experience with multi-entity operations and international financial management
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to translate financial concepts for creative teams
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Understanding of internet culture, digital communities, and emerging creative movements
- Experience in fashion, events, publishing, or media
- Comfort with experimental business models and rapidly evolving organizations
- International experience, particularly in Asian markets
- A demonstrated interest in art, fashion, or alternative culture
- Cultural alignment with Remilia's distinctive approach to creative production
- Comfort navigating between structured financial management and experimental creative processes
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
- Self-directed with ability to establish systems from the ground up
- Appreciation for the value of cultural capital alongside traditional financial metrics
