The AmeriCorps Health Fellows program offers a unique opportunity to serve communities while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field. Fellows will be placed across 9 Community Health Centers, working directly with health teams to support underserved individuals, helping them access and utilize preventive and primary care services. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking to develop skills and pursue careers in health care.

We are looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to strengthen the recruitment and retention efforts for the AmeriCorps Health Fellows program. The Recruitment Coordinator will be dedicated to building the program’s capacity, developing partnerships, and effectively recruiting and retaining AmeriCorps Fellows. This role will also provide support to program staff through outreach, partnership development, and resource generation aimed at member retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct capacity needs assessments and develop action plans to address these needs.
  • Support program staff in identifying, developing, and fostering partnerships to increase outreach to potential AmeriCorps members.
  • Expand community outreach efforts through presentations at colleges, career fairs, and social media campaigns.
  • Develop marketing materials for recruitment purposes.
  • Implement a tracking system to maintain recruitment and retention data.
  • Engage AmeriCorps alumni in promoting national service and retention efforts.

Position Requirements

  • Full-time commitment (40 hours/week) for 11 months to serve a minimum of 1,700 service hours.
  • Must be at least 18 years old or 17 years old with a legal guardian's signature.
  • High school diploma, GED, or commitment to obtain one during service year.
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident.
  • Successful completion of background check upon hire.
