• Facilitates development and supervision of music therapy interns and new music therapy employees.
• Provides music therapy consultations and services to the patient and/or family in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care as an integral part of the comprehensive care services.

A.     Education/Regulatory Requirements:

• Degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA accredited university, Master's Degree preferred.
• Certification as a Music Therapist and Board Certified (MT-BC) required. Certified or certification eligible as AMTA Internship Director.

B.     Skills:

• A minimum of two years music therapy experience required.
• Experience working in hospice, geriatrics, or in a health care related field, with supervision of Music Therapy interns preferred.
• Competence with the technical components necessary to complete the job.
• Must possess the ability to drive, a reliable car, a good driving record, automobile insurance, a valid Florida Driver’s license and basic knowledge of the county territory.
