In Vitro Biologist in RNA Research
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our RNA biology group within the Genetic Medicine team in Indianapolis. Our team is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work culture that promotes innovation and collaboration. The successful candidate will conduct preclinical pharmacology studies as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role involves collaborating across key discovery and therapeutic areas, including neuroscience, diabetes, and immunology, to support the development of RNA oligonucleotide drug candidates for the next generation of RNA therapies.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,000 - $162,800
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In Vitro Biologist in RNA Research

Key Responsibilities
- Design and perform in vitro experiments on RNA-targeting therapeutics, role entails work across multiple cell lines and primary cell models.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.
- Maintain documentation practices that comply with both local and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate research results in a clear and concise manner to team members and larger cross-functional teams in both reports and data presentation formats.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and evolve understanding of RNA-based therapeutic strategies.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in RNA biology and pharmacology.
- Demonstrate high learning agility to incorporate new scientific concepts and methods into research.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field
- 2+ years of industry experience in drug discovery or relevant master's thesis highly preferred.
- Strong background in biology, with a preference for RNA biology
- Skills in molecular biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture, qPCR, and gene and protein analysis
- Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with RNA therapeutics and pre-clinical drug pharmacology
- In vitro experience utilizing iPSC or primary cell isolates
- Proven track record of scientific publications
