Role Overview
Job Title: Social & Community Manager
Job Type: Full-Time W2 Employee
Reports To: Vice President of Marketing
Department Head: Chief Growth Officer
Location: Hybrid Work at Omaha Headquarters
Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 Base Salary + Incentive Bonus (estimated at up to $12,600 to $14,400 depending on base salary and performance)

As the Social & Community Manager, you’ll be the digital voice and vibe of Sidekick. You’ll bring our brand to life across social platforms, build community through smart content and authentic engagement, and manage relationships that expand our reach and reputation. This role is at the intersection of content, connection, and culture—and your work will directly impact how people discover, trust, and engage with Sidekick.

From launching campaigns to managing influencer partnerships and everything in between, you’ll drive momentum around our brand and mission. If you’re creative, organized, people-savvy, and love turning strategy into engagement, this is your chance to make a big splash. In this role, you will work on:
Social Channel Strategy & Management (30%)
No two days at Sidekick look exactly the same—and that’s the fun of it. One day, you might be drafting social copy for a big announcement and scheduling content across channels. The next, you’re deep in conversation with a new affiliate partner or working with our marketing and events team to support a major campaign. You’ll monitor engagement, respond to comments and DMs, and keep a pulse on the conversations happening around the brand.
You’ll also get the best of both worlds—collaboration and flexibility. We work hard, move fast, and care deeply about each other and the people we serve. Whether you’re in the office or working from home, you’ll be part of a team that’s energized by shared goals and driven by purpose.

- Lead day-to-day management of all active social media platforms
- Build and execute a platform-specific strategy that drives engagement, reach, and brand awareness
- Write clear, on-brand copy and collaborate on visual assets that align with marketing campaigns
- Build and maintain a content calendar optimized for platform and audience performance
- Engage with followers across all platforms by responding to messages, comments, and DMs in a timely and authentic way
- Monitor social trends, competitor activity, and cultural moments that Sidekick can authentically engage in
- Manage affiliate and influencer relationships, including recruitment, communication, and campaign coordination
- Oversee referral software and processes to track client referrals and brand partnerships
- Monitor online reviews and brand mentions across platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams to respond and improve perception where needed

- Paid Time Off- Every Sidekick starts with 16 days of PTO, two floating holidays, and a paid volunteer day annually. We also offer nine paid company holidays each year as well. Team Members earn additional PTO for each year of employment.

- Client Referral Commission- We encourage every member of Team Sidekick to utilize their network to find qualified candidates for franchise ownership. We pay $3,000 for every qualified lead you submit that ends up purchasing a franchise.

- Have 3–5 years of experience managing social media strategy, content creation, and community engagement for a brand or organization.
- Bring prior experience working with influencers, affiliates, or brand ambassadors and understand how to build successful relationships and campaigns.
- Have formal education in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field—or equivalent experience that shows your strength in this space.
- Know how to write copy that’s clear, clever, and on-brand, and you enjoy using content to spark engagement and tell a compelling story.
- Are highly organized and capable of managing a content calendar, juggling multiple platforms, and staying on top of trends.
- Are experienced with tools like Sprout Social, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, and have a general comfort level with content scheduling platforms and performance analytics.
- Understand the importance of brand voice, tone, and consistency—and know how to adapt messaging across different channels and audiences.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate well, and enjoy working with teammates across departments to bring big ideas to life.
- Have a basic understanding of how paid media, SEO, and digital campaigns tie into broader marketing efforts (you don’t need to run them, just know how the puzzle fits together).
- Bring energy, curiosity, and a proactive mindset to your work—you’re not afraid to pitch new ideas, test, learn, and iterate.
