Position Overview
The Worship Pastor is responsible for leading the congregation in worship services and providing musical and spiritual direction to the church. The Worship Pastor will plan and lead worship services, coordinate with the church staff to ensure the worship planning, and lead a team of musicians and vocalists. The Worship Pastor will be responsible for developing, training, and equipping the worship team, developing a vision for the worship ministry, and creating engaging and meaningful worship experiences. The Worship Pastor will ensure the spiritual and musical excellence of all worship services, and will seek to spiritually encourage and equip the congregation.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years experience leading worship in a large congregation preferred.
- Education: Degree or training in the related field preferred, but not required.
- Licenses/ Certification: Must maintain a Foursquare Credential (or be willing to pursue one if not already obtained).
- Knowledge, skills, and gifts:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong general computer skills.
- Ability to schedule services and music through Planning Center Online.
- Basic knowledge of ProPresenter and multitrack systems.
- High proficiency in vocals, guitar, and/or piano.
- Ability to guide and direct the band and vocalists during rehearsals and live services.
- Strong understanding of a wide range of music and worship styles.
- Highly relational with strong interpersonal skills to connect with volunteers and congregation members.
- Ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to be firm yet gracious in leadership.
- Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, creative, and flexible in a dynamic ministry environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Passionate about discipling and mentoring worship team members both musically and spiritually.
- Spiritually discerning and sensitive to the movement of the Holy Spirit in worship.(John 4:24).
- Committed to ushering the congregation into authentic and meaningful worship experiences. (Ephesians 4:11-13)
- Active in their discipleship and encouragement of the team (Hebrews 3:13-14).
- Biblically meticulous of the song choices (2 Timothy 3:16).
- Collaborative with the other pastors and components of the service and overall vision of the church (Philippians 2:2, 1 Corinthians 1:10, etc.)
- Pursue growth, again both musically and spiritually (Romans 12:1-2)
- Physical Demands: May be called upon for lifting, pulling, bending, carrying, and pushing as needed and appropriate with ministry activities and events. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience leading worship.
