Location Information
Five Star Senior Living's corporate headquarters are located in Newton, Massachusetts. Just 20 minutes outside of downtown Boston, the building features easy access to public transportation and the Massachusetts Turnpike.
Key Responsibilities
All team members will be required to work on-site three (3) days per week. The on-site days will be Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a third day to be selected by the employee in consultation with their leader. For the right talent, we are open to considering remote candidates. We will prioritize candidates who meet the key qualifications and demonstrate a strong alignment with the role’s requirements.
Summary:
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will serve as a strategic advisor and key partner to both operational and HR leadership, supporting assigned field communities and playing a pivotal role in corporate talent acquisition initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and executing proactive, data-informed recruiting strategies to attract top talent at all levels of the organization—ranging from frontline roles to corporate functions.
This role will have a strong focus on supporting our corporate hiring efforts, partnering directly with business unit leaders and HR partners to understand evolving organizational needs and build scalable, high-impact recruitment strategies. Whether it's filling niche roles in HR, Finance, Marketing, IT, or other corporate departments, or advising on executive-level hiring, this person will be a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders across the corporate enterprise.
Beyond full-cycle recruiting, the Senior TA Specialist will guide recruitment strategy, improve process consistency, and coach hiring managers in both field and corporate settings on sourcing, selection, and compliance best practices. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven, analytical thinker who brings deep recruiting expertise, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is passionate about elevating the organization’s hiring capability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to field and corporate leaders in designing and implementing both immediate and long-term talent acquisition strategies.
- Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment for key corporate roles, collaborating closely with department heads to understand functional needs and deliver exceptional candidate experiences.
- Consult with corporate hiring teams to develop effective sourcing plans, interview strategies, and workforce planning aligned with business objectives.
- Act as a key point of contact for corporate recruitment, ensuring a seamless and professional process from requisition to onboarding.
- Partner with HR and Talent Leadership to proactively identify future corporate hiring needs and build pipelines of qualified talent.
- Mentor, train, and coach both community and corporate hiring leaders on best practices in recruitment, interviewing, candidate evaluation, and compliance.
- Provide reporting and insights on corporate and field recruiting activity, using data to influence strategy and continuously improve outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, HRIS, and other teams to enhance corporate employment branding, sourcing effectiveness, and technology optimization.
- Champion process consistency, quality control, and compliance across all levels of the recruitment function.
- Identify talent trends, market shifts, and areas of opportunity that inform and enhance corporate and enterprise-wide talent strategies.
- Contribute to enterprise talent acquisition initiatives and special projects aimed at improving candidate quality, hiring manager capability, and recruitment operations.
- Serve as a thought leader within the TA team, helping to drive innovation and continuous improvement across both corporate and field hiring efforts.
- Proven experience in a senior or strategic Talent Acquisition role, with demonstrated success supporting corporate-level recruitment (HR, Finance, IT, Marketing, etc.).
- Experience in a multi-site, matrixed, or decentralized organization preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
- Expertise in full cycle recruiting and sourcing methodologies for a variety of role types and levels.
- Strong experience coaching and advising senior-level leaders on recruitment best practices.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably BrassRing) and data/reporting tools.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Self-directed, highly organized, and able to manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Passionate about improving organizational recruitment capability and candidate experience.
