About The Job- Pediatric Office Medical Receptionist
Austintown Pediatrics is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist certified MA for a part-time (3-4 days/week) position as a Front Desk Medical Receptionist. Shifts cover our office hours, which are 8-5 Monday through Friday and 8-4 over the summer. Enjoy a better work-life balance without any night or weekend shifts, plus get paid time off on all the major holidays. Requirements And Skills
- Experience working with pediatric demographic.
- Experience using EMR systems.
- Experience using Office Practicum EMR system is a plus.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging demeanor.

- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to receive training, instruction, and correction.

- Successful completion of MA certification program is required.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.

- Willingness to stay late on occasion as needed.
- Willingness to rotate opening and closing tasks with fellow staff members.
- Willingness to fill in for fellow staff members as needed.
- Communicate with families to provide results, instructions, and advice.
- Relay information to practitioners in a timely manner.
- Patient check in/check out.
- Answering phone calls.
- Scheduling and sending messages to providers as needed.
- Entering patient demographics.
- Maintain and update patient health records.
- Collect copays.
- Complete patient forms, referrals, and appointment tasks.
- Pull patient forms for next business day.
- Complete appointment reminders.
- Scan forms into charts.
- Prior Authorizations.
- Communicate with hospitals, specialty departments and other provider offices for patient related information.
- Prepare medical records as needed.
- Checking faxes throughout the day.
Expected Hours: 18-30 per week.
Pay: MA $16.50-$17.50.
