What You'll Do

The Nurse Scheduler at Greenwood Health and Living plays a crucial role in ensuring that the nursing staff is effectively scheduled to meet the needs of our residents. This position requires a keen understanding of staffing requirements, patient care needs, and the ability to adapt to changing organizational demands. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining schedules that optimize staff availability while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. By facilitating communication between nursing staff and management, the Nurse Scheduler helps to foster a collaborative work environment. Ultimately, this role is vital in maintaining high-quality care and operational efficiency within our healthcare facility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Communicate with nursing staff to accommodate requests for time off and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Monitor staffing levels and make adjustments based on patient care needs and organizational changes.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze scheduling data and generate reports for management.
  • Facilitate training sessions for new staff on scheduling software and procedures.

Our ideal candidate

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current QMA or LPN licensure in the state of Indiana.
  • Proven experience in a scheduling or administrative role within a healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic scheduling systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
