Job Summary
Barrett Paving Materials is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Pipe Layer Laborer to join our team in Mid West Central. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our construction and infrastructure projects, contributing to the installation of underground piping systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the layout and installation of piping systems, including stormwater, sewer, and water lines.
- Prepare and clean work sites, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available.
- Collaborate with pipe layers and construction crew to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
- Operate hand and power tools, as well as heavy machinery as needed.
- Dig trenches and prepare surfaces for pipe installation.
- Maintain proper safety protocols and procedures on the job site.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction, labor, or a related field is an advantage.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license is a must.
