Edenbrook of Sheboygan, part of the Eden Senior Care Network, a skilled nursing facility is seeking for a Staffing Coordinator/Central Supply Clerk for our wonderful skilled nursing facility!

Position: Staffing Coordinator/Central Supply Clerk

We are looking for a Staffing coordinator to undertake a variety of tasks such as recruitment, orientation, and placement of employees. A staffing coordinator must be an excellent communicator, able to foster relationships with both employees and external vendors. They should ideally have experience in hiring and onboarding as well as other human resources procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation and execution of orientation and training plans of nursing staff
  • Develop work schedules by allocating employees in shifts and positions
  • Assume responsibility for timekeeping and time-off requests
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure correct employee compensation
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations
  • Utilizing computer software to prepare, change and update the master schedule
  • Develops the daily 24-hour staffing sheet for the skilled nursing facility.
  • Reviews requests for paid time off (PTO) and vacation
  • Fulfills staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
  • Keeps attendance records and assisting with the progressive disciplinary process if staff members accrue excessive absences and/or tardies
  • Orders all types of supplies through Amazon for the facility
  • Takes inventory and rotates stocked items daily, and maintains inventory of all nursing supplies
  • Orders and maintains inventory of supplies and fills requests according to procedures
  • Places central supply and vendor orders on a weekly basis, to maintain adequate inventory as demonstrated by requisition order; Insures timely shipping of orders
  • Unpacks and checks supplies upon receipt from vendors or other suppliers, and reports discrepancies in orders to Administrator; packs supplies which need to be returned or sent-out
  • Initiates resident charges according to written policies and procedures
  • Receives, sorts, and cleans equipment in accordance with decontamination policies; ensures that special equipment is in good working order
  • Orders, maintains, and assembles equipment and puts them in proper position
  • Labels, loads and records items according to facility procedures
  • Maintains budget as recorded on budget sheet; reports over-budgeting to Administrator
  • Develops and maintains par levels at each nurses' station and traces missing charges with assistance of the nursing department
  • Maintains organization of supply areas
  • Maintains accurate records of resident payer status (i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, Skilled or Private)
  • Understands and reviews the facility’s Healthcare Clinical Policies and Procedures and Safety Guidelines
  • Reports any issues or problems that may arise to the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator
  • Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards

  • Ability to utilize software and computer programs
  • Valid certification as a nurse or a CNA is a plus
