This candidate will be responsible for performing bioassays and maintaining cell cultures to support corporate research and development. These analyses include ELISAs, PCR, DNA and more that support the development of a variety of healthcare products.
What You’ll Do

This candidate will be responsible for performing bioassays and maintaining cell cultures to support corporate research and development. These analyses include ELISAs, PCR, DNA and more that support the development of a variety of healthcare products.
What You’ll Do
- Conducting experiments with cell lines and tissues using sterile techniques
- Support all stages of the mammalian cell culture process including maintenance, transfection, etc. at flask and bioreactor levels
- General laboratory activities and instrumentation including: pipetting, preparation of solutions/samples/media, and operation of pH meters, autoclaves and analytical balances
- Complete a variety of bioassays including ELISAs, qPCR/ddPCR, Host Cell Protein quantification, DNA quantification, mAb purification/quantification, viability etc.
- Microscopic analysis including SEM and optical microscopy
- Assist with the validation of bioassay test methods
- Work with microbial and bacteriophage samples and challenges
- Assist with the development of new methods and processes using all previously described tests
- General laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance
- Minimum requirement: BS degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related discipline.
- Experience in a molecular biology, cell culture or microbiology lab strongly preferred
- Excellent aseptic technique - Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solving
- Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven
- Able to communicate effectively
