Job Description

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Technician works under the direct supervision of the RN and physician. They perform a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. They are responsible for completing a variety of department specific tasks to assist with optimal department safety and functioning. The Market Emergency Department Technician will rotate facilities between Hilton Head Medical Center and Coastal Carolina Medical Center.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School or GED equivalent preferred
  • EMT/CNA/Phlebotomy or related experience preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months experience with EMS/ER Tech or related experience; OR
  • Two (2) years of experience in CNA Level I, II or III role and documented competency in at least three (3) of the following roles: Unit Secretary, Monitor Technician, Spanish Language Interpreter or Phlebotomist.

Other Qualifications: Current BLS certification.
