As the Workforce Development Regional Lead for the Americas, you’ll manage the Workforce Development (WFD) programs necessary to address the mission critical talent and pipeline needed to realize and sustain Google Data Center’s (GDC) near and longer term business objectives in your region. As a member of the Economic and Community Development Team, you’ll manage infrastructure development programs in workforce development and be accountable for an increasing number of vendors and partners, globally across your region. You will generate ideas for new project initiatives and possible market opportunities related to workforce development initiatives and engagement with key stakeholders, in your region.
You will support Google Data Center's strategic growth goals by providing data-driven insights and programmatic engagement that are based on labor market and community assessments for existing and prospective data center markets within your region.
You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive measurable impact, as well as develop and maintain relationships with education and workforce development organizations to implement those strategies across your region.
You will share strategic community engagement ideas and labor market opportunities for data center communities within your region.
You will help identify areas of need for future talent resources and work with local and regional organizations to define the best approaches to bridge skills gaps, and create a sustainable workforce pipeline to support the data center ecosystem in your region.
Your work will also include collaborating with education and training organizations to build talent pathways and opportunities to ensure data center communities can reap the benefits of the digital economy.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program or project management.
- 5 years of experience implementing or creating workforce development programs, building public private partnerships, creating programmatic policies, managing cross-functional programs or matrixed teams and economic development programs.
- Experience in monitoring economic and labor market trends, analyzing datasets to create briefing materials.
- Experience working within education/workforce development systems or economic development organizations, including negotiating and managing vendor/supplier agreements.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience using analytics to make decisions.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Data Centers, Utilities, Government, Advanced Manufacturing or capital intensive industries.
- Experience working in the US Southeast and LATAM markets developing and launching state, national or global public-private partnerships.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed across a multi-market Data Center portfolio.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently in order to interact in Spanish with local stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple complex, cross-functional programs and projects regionally to achieve Workforce Development (WFD) goals, including defining and monitoring key initiatives and success metrics.
- Manage WFD programming to address current talent needs and anticipate future skill demands within the region.
- Monitor and respond to regional WFD growth, pinpointing high-demand areas and potential talent gaps, while managing internal and external partnerships.
- Provide consistent reporting on labor market trends, program effectiveness, and workforce expansion across the regional data center portfolio, including preparing and presenting progress reports.
- Drive outcomes by tracking project plans, risks, and operational metrics, identifying process improvements, and cultivating key internal and external relationships with educational and non-profit organizations.
