Job Summary:

Controller/Assistant Controller Level Position - Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the accounting and control function of the company, reports operational results and provides necessary financial and control systems.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Establishes policies, procedures, systems and controls for the effective recording, analyzing and reporting of all


financial matters.

  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash and the line of credit on a day-to-day basis.
  • Prepare, analyze and distribute monthly and annual financial results.
  • Maintain relationship with external accountants and provide required information.
  • Maintain relationship with legal counsel and provide required financial information.
  • Compile annual budget and report results against it.
  • Prepare various analyses to support operating management.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to assist in decision making.
  • Along with management and legal counsel, develop and maintain banking relationship.
  • Maintain systems to safeguard company assets.
  • Supervise the accounting staff, including review of existing job responsibilities and reporting relationships, assignment of duties, feedback regarding job performance, and development of employees' skill levels.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with Pinnacle and other IT professionals.
  • Provide warehouse with necessary information and forms to conduct cycle count program.
  • Prepare balance sheet, cash flow and income forecasts as needed.
  • Maintain chart of accounts.
  • Prepare quarterly royalty reports and maintain royalty report summary.
  • Prepare daily cash analysis.
  • Maintain & manage AW reporting, store and internet management.
  • Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures.
  • Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization’s accounting operations.
  • Collects data to prepare federal, state and local reports and tax filings.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in accounting or finance field
  • CPA certification required
  • 5 years of experience minimum requirement
  • Ability to mentor, delegate work, and discipline in a supervisor capacity
  • Highly detailed and organized
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
