We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Front Desk Coordinator / Patient Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the seamless operation of our patient care services.

Position Overview

The Front Office Coordinator will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental billing, sales, treatment planning and customer service, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with Dentrix Ascend is preferred, but not essential. We are looking for someone who is presentable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent service to our valued patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Handle patient scheduling, including appointment reminders and follow-ups.
  • Manage patient intake, including verification of insurance information and processing patient forms.
  • Accurately process dental billing, including insurance claims, coding, and billing inquiries.
  • Assist with treatment plan presentations and help guide patients through financial options.
  • Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure smooth office operations, including answering calls, emails, and other administrative duties.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring the office environment is welcoming for patients.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a front desk coordinator or patient coordinator in a dental office.
  • Strong knowledge of dental billing, insurance verification, and claims processing.
  • Sales experience is preferred, especially in the dental field.
  • Experience with Dentrix Ascend is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional and polished appearance, with the ability to represent the practice in a positive light.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
