Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations and safety compliance on commercial construction sites.
  • Maintain OSHA “Competent Person” status and valid First Aid Certification.
  • Conduct orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing site safety training.
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules and ensure timely completion of all project phases.
  • Monitor and inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and job specifications.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to plan resources, schedules, and project logistics.
  • Maintain secure and clean job sites, keeping MSDS sheets and safety postings up to date.
  • Handle site communication and represent the company at meetings and public events.
  • Maintain and submit daily job logs, timecards, field reports, and safety documentation.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance reviews for crew members.
  • Ensure professional conduct and promote Henkel's reputation in the community.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, site safety regulations, and construction practices.
  • Effective leadership and team-building skills.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, project plans, and job specs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient in using technology, including tablets and smartphones for reporting and communication.
  • Able to travel across Iowa with limited overnight requirements.
  • Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, kneel, and use PPE on active job sites.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Occasional additional hours as needed based on project requirements

  • Jobsites are primarily located in Central Iowa; Occasional out-of-town or overnight travel may be expected
