PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Work in the interesting and complex world of corporate restructuring and learn from one of the top administrative-support providers in the country. We are currently looking for a bright and ambitious individual to fill the position of Banking Analyst. Under the supervision of the Senior Manager and within, the Banking Analyst will primarily be responsible for the daily cash management activity, bank account administration and daily funds distribution needs associated with Verita’s Class Action business line. The position demands a high level of collaboration within the Fund Accounting team. The Banking Analyst will assist in completing and tracking financial transactions, reviewing and maintaining records, and preparing financial reports while ensuring such activities comply with the court-approved Settlement Documents and internal Verita policies.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Assist in the daily management of cash across hundreds of active class action settlements
  • Assist in bank account administration including the opening and closing of accounts
  • Prepare and review domestic and international wire requests
  • Prepare routine ad hoc reports for both internal and external distribution, including but not limited to, transactional reports, bank compliance reports, and miscellaneous cash management reports for the Client Services team
  • Actively utilize US and Canadian bank portals to track and monitor transactions, prepare reports, and process check deposits
  • Work closely with the distribution team and compliance team within the larger Fund Accounting group
  • Attend required meetings, both internal and external, and provide necessary updates as requested
  • Participate in continuous process improvement activities to maximize efficiency of core banking functions


Required Functional Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
  • Ability to calculate financial ratios and tax rates
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, concurrently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, eye for accuracy and attention to detail a must
  • Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Preferred Functional Knowledge

  • 2+ years of cash management related experience
  • Bank account administration experience
  • Working knowledge of Bankruptcy and Class Action products and services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferably in Accounting or Finance from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of general office experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Hybrid (in office/remote) role based out of the San Rafael, CA Verita office
