Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Production Operations Manager – Switchboard, Panelboard, Wiring, and EV Assembly to lead operations in our Union, NJ facility. This hands-on leadership role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is responsible for the daily oversight and optimization of the electrical systems assembly departments, ensuring operational excellence, timely project execution, and high-quality output.

- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday (Occasional Saturdays as needed)

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Production Operations Manager – Switchboard, Panelboard, Wiring, and EV Assembly to lead operations in our Union, NJ facility. This hands-on leadership role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is responsible for the daily oversight and optimization of the electrical systems assembly departments, ensuring operational excellence, timely project execution, and high-quality output.

- Lead daily operations for switchboard, panelboard, wiring, and EV assembly lines.
- Oversee the production of low-voltage switchgear systems, ensuring compliance with UL and other regulatory standards.
- Manage personnel, processes, and timelines to meet production and delivery goals.
- Enforce and continuously improve quality control, safety standards, and process efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire production teams including leads, technicians, and operators.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs and operational metrics to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, quality, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Align production and assembly schedules with available materials and project timelines.
- Administer production budgets, resource allocation, and cost control strategies.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance in partnership with the maintenance team.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Adjust production plans dynamically to mitigate delays and minimize downtime.
- Regularly review production workflow to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective action.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
- 5–7+ years of experience in production/operations management—preferably within switchboard, panelboard, wiring, or EV assembly environments
- Experience as a General Electrical Foreman in a relevant manufacturing setting also considered
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Proven ability to lead large teams, solve complex problems, and implement sustainable improvements
- Solid foundation in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques
