E&I Project Manager

Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for an E&I Project Manager to work on a 3+ year assignment in Port Arthur, TX with benefits.

Summary

Our client, a leading company in the oil and gas sector, is seeking a highly skilled Instrumental and Electrical (E&I) Project Manager to support a long-term project in Port Arthur, TX. This role requires extensive experience managing complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, with a specific focus on I&E scopes within petrochemical environments. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and proven leader who can drive results on projects ranging from several thousand to tens of millions of dollars.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed I&E project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource planning.
• Oversee and lead cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines.
• Ensure successful execution of I&E projects by proactively managing risk, identifying issues, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project performance and provide consistent updates to stakeholders and clients.
• Drive adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards.
• Manage procurement activities, including vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align I&E efforts with overall project goals.
• Ensure proper installation, commissioning, and documentation of I&E systems and equipment.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in the petrochemical industry, with a strong focus on I&E scopes.
• Demonstrated success managing EPC projects with a wide range of budgets.
• Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, or similar).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualification

• Direct experience with petrochemical processes and instrumentation/electrical equipment.
