As the Parts Manager you will be responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department by utilizing proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staffing efficiencies, pricing strategies, merchandising and marketing. The Parts Manager is also responsible for managing department staff.

The ideal candidate has at five years of experience as a Parts Manager, preferably in a dealership. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong leadership, customer service and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with ADP software and Bilingual is a PLUS!

  • Create and oversee an annual operating budget for the parts department.
  • Administer and maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the manufacturer.
  • Utilize available pricing parameters and strategies to generate sufficient profit while maintain customer loyalty.
  • Ensure inventory is appropriate to meet customer demand while controlling obsolete and excess inventory.
  • Ensure full compliance with manufacturer parts and warranty policies, procedures and rules.
  • Develop an effective team through training and performance standards.
  • Confirm parts are coded for efficiently for refunds on unused factory stock.
  • Work with service department and wholesales account representatives to ensure inventory is available when needed.
  • Review sales figures, costs and stock monthly to ensure budget benchmarks are met.
  • 5+ years’ experience (dealership experience preferred).
  • Chevrolet or GM experience a BIG PLUS!
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be a team leader who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve key goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to provide a proven track record with exceptional results.

  • Self-starter-self motivator.
  • Must be able to develop relationships with team, departments, vendors and manufacturer.
  • Tekion experience a PLUS!
  • Bilingual a PLUS!
