Job Summary
The Certification Test Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining the test facility and conducting tests for both Seats and Furniture. Test types include but are not limited to component, static, dynamic, abuse, cycle and flammability. This position is ideal for someone with an assembler background with mechanical experience.

- Set-up, conduct and monitor dynamic, static and abuse/cycle testing.
- Maintain test facility (cleanliness, organization, supplies, etc.)
- Maintain test equipment and fixtures in good working order including calibrations, spare parts, procurement, maintenance etc.
- Design and build/oversee build test fixtures/platforms.
- Organize tools, hardware, and materials in an easy to find, easy to use format.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Trade School or Certification preferred
- 2+ years’ experience preferred
- Independent worker
- Professional behavior
- Various hand tool skills: grinders, drills, hand-held power tools, files, screwdrivers, and wrenches
- Basic woodworking including band saw, table saw, jigsaw, drill press, and miter saw operation.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Fluent in English (written, oral)
- Electronic or mechanical background is required.
- Basic electrical knowledge (e.g., switch assembly/installation/wiring and related tools)
- 2+ years’ experience in setting up, conducting, and monitoring dynamic, static and abuse/cycle testing.
- FARO experience
- Welding experience
- Basic understanding of Excel preferred
- Familiarity with Coordinate Measurement Machine preferred
- Must be able to carry 40 pounds
- Extended or irregular hours may be required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

- Will work autonomously with only occasional status updates with supervisor.
- Works with supervisor to execute tasks that comply with instructions or pre-determined processes, methods, and/or practices
- Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and are consistent with organization objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
