About this Opportunity

As Spokeo continues to grow, we are now scaling our B2B business with products that integrate regulated (GLBA) and public data. Our current customer base includes collection agencies, law enforcement, risk management teams, and organizations leveraging property data for targeted outreach. We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic, and growth-driven VP of Sales to help lead our next chapter.


As VP of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue through a hands-on sales approach, while also building and executing a scalable go-to-market strategy. This is a true player-coach role — you’ll lead by example with a clear bias to action and an “ABC” (always be closing) mentality. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment and accelerate business growth.


The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is recognized as having the expertise, vision, and enthusiasm to capitalize on the huge market opportunity of a nascent yet promising product line. They will welcome, embrace, and overcome any challenge to get the job done. They will also be the type of leader who is leading on the ground, versus someone who directs from an ivory tower.

What You’ll Do:

* Own and execute the B2B sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets

* Build, lead, and scale a high-performing sales team

* Design and optimize sales processes, including pipeline development, forecasting, and performance tracking to drive predictable and scalable growth

* Develop territory, vertical, and channel strategies to grow new logo acquisition

* Coach AEs on deal strategy, objection handling, and navigating long sales cycles

* Collaborate with Product Marketing to refine messaging, positioning, and competitive analysis

* Partner with Product and Customer Success to ensure alignment on customer needs and expansion

* Forecast revenue accurately and report on performance to the executive team

* Represent the company in key customer, partner, and industry meetings


Who You Are:

* 8+ successful years of B2B sales experience in SaaS or data solutions to mid-sized or enterprise customers, with 3+ years in a sales leadership role

* Proven success selling SaaS or data solutions to mid-market or enterprise customers, ideally within a fast-paced startup environment. Prior experience selling to financial institutions is a strong plus.

* Proven track record in building and scaling high-performing sales teams from the ground up

* Strong coaching and mentoring skills; a team-first, low-ego leader

* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment

* Excellent communication, presentation, and deal negotiation skills

* Data-driven and able to build efficient processes for forecasting and pipeline management

* Experience with consultative sales approaches

* Experience selling more technical products, such as APIs and batch append

* Position may require up to 40% travel to support marketing and other events

* Experience in regulated data, collections, risk, fraud, or law enforcement markets preferred

* University degree required/MBA preferred
