Summary
The Accounts Payable Representative works with Materials Management and various departments to process payments to vendors in an accurate and timely manner; ensures agreement of invoices to purchase orders and proper authorization of manual check requests; maintains the Accounts Payable inbox(s) for invoice receipt and resolves inquiries; reconciles vendor statements and maintains files related to Accounts Payable; serves as the back up for processing daily check runs.

Responsibilities
- Performs functions necessary for the timely processing of payments.
- Communicates with departments and/or vendors to answer and resolve inquiries on invoices and payments; participates in weekly call with Materials Management to resolve invoices on hold issues.
- Reviews and reconciles vendor activity on monthly statements to identify and resolve past due invoices and unused credits.
- Coordinates file maintenance and retention and matches invoices to check copies. Provides support for accounting staff by providing check and invoice copies as requested and any AP related research.
Education
- HS DIPLOMA/GED
