The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the flow of material in and out of the plant for the purpose of maintaining normal production to meet customer needs.

Materials Coordinator
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the flow of material in and out of the plant for the purpose of maintaining normal production to meet customer needs.
Your Day To Day
- Expedite parts and materials for unplanned equipment failures.
- Identification of materials and/or parts required; procurement of material per existing policies and procedures and expediting material to final destination.
- Requisition critical spares.
- Requisition and/or procure predetermined replacement, non-storeroom, critical spares items utilizing existing policies and procedures. requisition non-storeroom items for the maintenance satellite shops. Also requisition production/engineering project items.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Management on issues.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain management on issues dealing with plant stores and free stock program, i.e. additions to, deletions from, quantity requirements, obsolete items, descriptions, etc.
- Maintain equipment “Bill of Materials.”
- Maintain equipment “Bill of Materials” within the Professional Maintenance Management System (PMMS) including the addition of new or the updating of Data Sheets.
- Stage materials for scheduled preventive maintenance
- Work with Maintenance Planners in the staging of materials to be used during the performance of scheduled PM’s and planned jobs.
- Create material masters for all new spare parts ordered.
- Create l-orders for parts and equipment sent off site for repairs.
- Serve as the central point of contact, in the Dispatcher role, for all emergent, maintenance related, needs associated with equipment breakdowns.
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 2 years college, technical school ro equivalent in a directly related discipline or the equivalent hands-on experience
- 0-2 years relevant experience
- Computers, technical aptitude, verbal communicational, organizational skills, work with people across disciplines, self- motivated and self-managing.
