About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sr. Payroll Tax Representative. In this role, you will take point on highly escalated situations that need immediate attention and oversight. You will have knowledge to research, handle, and speak to customers regarding UKG Pro & tax system set up, payroll processing, quarter and year end filing, amendments, tax notice, and original filing. You will be responsible for providing high-touch care, customer education, and support to our customers and internal partners, including handling and resolving assigned cases. As a point of contact to the customer, you will set up and lead calls to address concerns, answer questions, provide root cause analysis, along with recommending best practices and resources to improve tax profile and filing accuracy. **This is a hybrid role. The employee will be expected to work 3 days/week onsite at UKG's Santa Ana, CA, Weston, FL, Alpharetta, GA, or Scottsdale, AZ office**

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Research cases and system data pertaining to escalated situations
  • Provide communication updates to customer, internal partners, and leadership via phone, case notes, and/or written emails
  • Engage with customers and internal partners who require Payment Services escalated or proactive support, addressing their specific needs and challenges
  • Provide high-touch care, education, and assistance to customers ensuring their satisfaction and resolving any issues or concerns they may have
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PS case escalations, leveraging your experience to guide and support both customer and internal partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving resources, tools, processes, and best practices related to customer care
  • Process assigned tax amendment, original filing, and or tax notice cases to completion
  • Assist with other projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience performing payroll tax reconciliations and analysis
  • Previous experience in customer support role, with a focus on providing exceptional service and building strong customer relationships
  • Ability to create positive outcomes with customers and payroll tax agencies
  • Experience with softwares such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, and/or MasterTax
  • Experience with MS Office suite, including Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of UKG Pro
  • Familiarity with Payment Services or related experience
  • Advanced analytical and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess complex situations and propose effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient in working with multiple systems and tools to research high priority situations
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for customer satisfaction and a genuine desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Proven time management strategies
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting
  • FPC or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification

The pay range for this position is $50,400 to $72,400 USD, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
